«Unknown Person» announces the IV open call for participation in a group zine and exhibition, which will take place in May 2023 at our KAFEDRA gallery in Herceg Novi (Montenegro).
In this new exhibition project, we aim to present a series of video artworks that explore the visible emptiness experienced during difficult times of war conflicts, economic crises, social isolation, loss of loved ones and home.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Artists over 18 years old from any country are welcome to apply.
P.S. We have no gender restrictions, and we do not take into account your fame, exhibition experience, or existing publications.

WORK FORMAT
Each participant in the open call can submit up to two works for consideration*.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Video format must be .mp4, with a duration 10-90 seconds, and a resolution of 1080x1080, 1920x1080, or 1080x1920.
You can submit animations and use text in English, Serbian and Montenegrin languages in your video.
We reserve the right to select any frame from your video and apply color correction (including black and white) for the zine accompanying the exhibition.

RESULTS OF OPEN CALL
Results of the open call will be announced in May 2023. The format of the project will be determined based on the specifics of the selected works by the curators. It will be a two-week exhibition featuring video art, readymade objects and a zine. Apart from the participants of the open call, we will invite several artists. If your work is not selected, don't be discouraged, as this is not our last event.
The «Unknown Person» project, as before, is created at our own expense and through donations. You can support us through the link. For example, we are currently looking for a screen for our new gallery.
